The NBC Peacock Streaming App STRUT

Did you know by the end of 2022, Peacock will have reached 64.3 million US viewers?  That's nearly one fifth of the US population.

Who here knew that the Peacock streaming app was a part of NBC starting out?

I didn’t.

But did you know by the end of 2022, Peacock will have reached 64.3 million US viewers? That’s nearly one fifth of the US population.

And here’s another detail. They plan to reach one fourth of the US population by 2026.

That’s impressive! With Netflix earnings tanking and other streaming apps showing up every day…

Or in the case of CNN+ disappearing!

The streaming war rages on!

Those that survive will have to find ways to:

1. Maintain revenues through retaining memberships.

2. Increase advertising.

3. Find new ways to monetize their apps.

Peacock showed its feathers in February.

They achieved the highest number of daily downloads and in app purchases to date.

Comcast, Peacock’s parent company will move NBC shows exclusively to Peacock  versus Hulu in the future.

They’re also looking to bring more live sports to the platform as well.

Much like they did with the Winter Olympics and the Super Bowl.

Personally, I watched the Super Bowl on Peacock because I don’t have live TV.

Overall, Comcast will spend $3 billion in 2022 on Peacock alone.

Bottom line…

Peacock might not be the strongest bird in the yard when it comes to  streaming apps, but if your company is using OTT advertising, you shouldn’t disregard them.

What are your favorite streaming apps?
